Half Birthdays and Anniversaries!

It's hard to believe, but our little boy turned 18 months on May the 20th! It's been an amazing ride watching him grow and learn so far. He's very active and curious; he wants to know how everything works. He seems very interested in learning new things. He's also into climbing now, which is a right of passage for boys, but a little nerve wracking for Mommy and Daddy!

Aiden has been recovering from croup and a cold the last month, so there's been a lot of whining and crying, but Aiden has been pretty good- LOL! We're finally on the mend, so things are returning back to normal. He also had his 18 month check up on Friday-he's weighing in at 24lbs and 12 oz and is 32 inches long. In the 34% for weight and 50% for height, so he's doing great! He has graduated to only going to the doctor once a year around his birthday- yeah!

Keith and I also celebrated our 6 wedding anniversary on Saturday May 22nd. It's hard to believe it's been that long!! We had a nice "date night" going out to dinner and seeing a movie. We really had a good time and still very much enjoy each other's company.

Well here are some more pictures of our ever growing boy!

Aiden's 1st Haircut

Well it was bound to happen sometime...Aiden got enough hair at 17 months old to warrent his first haircut. He was very brave and did very well, and Mommy was so proud. He definitley wasn't sure of it, but didn't cry or make a peep. They trimmed the side and the back as that was getting to long.

More Pics of Fun in the Sun!

Fun in the Warm Sun

Well it's been a great month with fairly great weather. We've been taking Aiden outside to the park and to play in the backyard. He loves being outside and often ask to go "outsigh" "outsigh". He loves the swing and the freedom to run. It's also a great time to discuss his outside voice vs his inside voice (he tends to scream inside now when he's excited). Here are some various pictures over the last few weeks.

Happy Easter!

And yet another month has past, it still amazes me how quickly time goes. Well Aiden had his 15 month check up a while back and he's doing great. He only gained 4 OZ and weights 22lbs and 9oz and 30 1/5 inches long. So not much growing since 1 yr visit. He only got a few shots this time, but he really hates the doctors- cried the whole time.

Other then that, he continues to learn so much each day. Aiden now says about 50 words give or take and can count 1-10 and say his ABCs after us. He's really start to repeat, so we find ourselves watching what we say. He loves reading, he'll sit forever with us just looking at the books and now he "reads" back to us. It's great! Aiden is also learning to "test" the waters and discover his independence more, so we have a lot of joy and now are learning the "frustration" of parenting. It's amazing how at a young age they know when they're doing something wrong. :)

The last couple weekends have been beautiful and we have took Aiden out to enjoy. We have gone on walks, to the West Goshen Park, and I even let him "drive"! Enjoy the pics

Today we went to see the Easter Bunny- luckily we seem to pick the right time of day to go (for Aiden and at the mall). There was no line so we let Aiden say Hi and warm up to the bunny. He did well with no tears, but we were very apprehensive and unsure. He last all of 2 minutes.

Well we hope everyone has a wonderful and Happy Easter!

Last of Blizzard Pics

Blizzard of 2010

As we all know (except maybe some of friends and family not in PA), it's been one heck of a winter. The first storm we had this winter- Decemeber, we tried to take Aiden out, but it wasn't success. He cried just getting dress and he lasted 2 mins outside.

So this past storm-the one during the week, we decided to attempt to take Aiden out again, and it was much more successful. Here are some pictures.

More Christmas Pics- Again opening up his cousin Rob's Presents

Aiden's 15 months old!...Almost

We've been keeping you out of the loop, and apologize, really no good excuses, just life. It's hard to believe Aiden is going to be 15 months old in a week, life just continues to pass us by and our little boy is growing to quickly.

We had a great Christmas and New Years, spending it with family and close friends. Aiden wasn't interested in opening gifts too much, although the wrapping paper was a big hit. On Christmas Eve, we were lucky his cousins "Nat Nat" (aka Natalie) and Marc where there to help him open all his gifts from his grandparents and Aunt June & Uncle Marc, as well as them. They really enjoyed opening his gifts and he enjoyed seeing them to do it- they'll be in trouble next year when he's ready to tear into everyone's presents.

I think on Christmas morning, we open on gift from Santa and just wanted to play with that, so Santa was kicking himself for going "overboard" on presents this year, but that's the fun, right? Christmas night Aiden enjoyed opening his cousin Rob's (who's 3 months younger then him) presents, but had no interest in his own. Well at least they pretty much got the same thing. Ha Ha!

I have lots of pictures to share, so enjoy and hope it's not overkill. Here are some from Christmas/Holiday time

Aiden learns his family

Aiden as Santa

Merry Christmas!

It's so hard to believe that it's already been a month- Aiden is now 13 months old and Christmas is 2 days away. Time really does fly and I need someone to slow it down!!

It's been a good month- Aiden had his 1 yr check up at the end of November and doing well. He was 30.3 inches and 20 lbs and 5 oz. Poor guy got 4 shots, so he wasn't happy. They said he's doing excellent with his development, minus teeth. Apparently at 1 yr old, you should have 6 teeth and Aiden has 2. He is walking and talking so much and becoming so animated. He has us laughing all the time. He's done very good with the Christmas tree, generally just points to it, but once in a while gently touches it and runs away. We're guessing next year he'll be a terror with it.

Aiden has hit a lot of milestones, just in this week. He has decided to drop his morning nap and now down to 1 nap a day, sleeping 3-4 hours in the afternoon. Mommy also decided to drop his last bottle, the nighttime bottle, and he's done so well. He didn't fuss or complain! And it looks like we're FINALLY getting out top two teeth.

This past weekend, we had our first major snow fall- almost 2 feet. We tried to take Aiden out to experience it, but just getting him dressed was a lot of work. As you can see from the picture, he wasn't happy.

Above are some pics we got of our ever growing boy!! We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year!
