Aiden learns his family

Aiden as Santa

Merry Christmas!

It's so hard to believe that it's already been a month- Aiden is now 13 months old and Christmas is 2 days away. Time really does fly and I need someone to slow it down!!

It's been a good month- Aiden had his 1 yr check up at the end of November and doing well. He was 30.3 inches and 20 lbs and 5 oz. Poor guy got 4 shots, so he wasn't happy. They said he's doing excellent with his development, minus teeth. Apparently at 1 yr old, you should have 6 teeth and Aiden has 2. He is walking and talking so much and becoming so animated. He has us laughing all the time. He's done very good with the Christmas tree, generally just points to it, but once in a while gently touches it and runs away. We're guessing next year he'll be a terror with it.

Aiden has hit a lot of milestones, just in this week. He has decided to drop his morning nap and now down to 1 nap a day, sleeping 3-4 hours in the afternoon. Mommy also decided to drop his last bottle, the nighttime bottle, and he's done so well. He didn't fuss or complain! And it looks like we're FINALLY getting out top two teeth.

This past weekend, we had our first major snow fall- almost 2 feet. We tried to take Aiden out to experience it, but just getting him dressed was a lot of work. As you can see from the picture, he wasn't happy.

Above are some pics we got of our ever growing boy!! We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year!

1st Birthday

Well it's hard to believe, but Aiden is 1. We feel like this last year flew by way to fast, but are so happy to see how much our little baby boy grew into a very quick moving toddler. Aiden has been walking for about a month now and seems to get faster everyday, although he still walks like Frankenstein. He usually takes about 12 steps before he decides to crawl because he can get their faster. He's also talking more and more

Aiden celebrated his birthday with family on friends on November 14th and on our his actual birthday, Nov 20th, he hung out with Mom and Dad and even got to meet Santa.

Halloween 2009

We didn't take Aiden out for Halloween this year between the rain and the fact that in our neighboorhood there are no street lights and all the parents drive their kids around, I just couldn't see the point. We did, however dress him up. All the kids loved seeing him, when they stopped by our house for trick or treating. Here are some pics...

A day at Linvilla Orchards

Well it's hard to believe our baby boy is going to be 11 months old tomorrow. I don't know where the last year went?!! We have really enjoyed watching Aiden grown and change and learn. Last week we went to Linvilla Orchards (which Alison has been looking forward to since he was born) with our dear close friends the Hermanns and their 3 kids. Here are some pics to enjoy!

Some newer pics of our quickly growing boy

Aiden has learned to drive...and a bit to fast, we hear "slow down little fellow" a lot : )

Leaving Aiden at home has been very hard, but his father has started teaching him a lot...including everything possible about the Beatles. This was one of their "classroom sessions" on music

My kid can be a ham when he wants

Aiden and his friend Sam. They really enjoyed their playdate together.

Catching up...and our 1st (mini) family vacation!

Well it's been a long time since I wrote, but not to much has been going on. July seemed to went by very quick. We celebrated Keith's 32nd birthday by going to NYC with a few friends, the week before, to see Paul McCartney (who-else of course!) and then him and I went out to dinner & see the new Harry Potter movie on his actual day. Alison's schedule also changed a bit, where it's more flexible and gives her more time with Aiden.

In August, Alison ventured single parenthood for a little under a week, while Keith went to band camp. All in all, it was a success. August turned into a crazy learning month for Aiden. He has learned to crawl, pull himself up on everything....and I mean everything (including the crib), walk around furniture, and eat big people food. Needless to say, we're realizing our life is changing quickly into babyproofing everything, but we're also realizing how precious time is and how quickly it goes by. Hard to believe, but our little boy is not so much a baby now, he turned 9 months old on August 20th. We had his check up on Thurs and he's a very healthy boy, developing right on track (well apparently right on track, except for when it comes to teeth....poor kid still has none!). He was 28 3/4 inches (which was 55%) and 20.5lbs (which was 45%. The doctor was very happy to see that his weight has caught up to his height and that he has done well gaining weight the last 2 check ups. Now he doesn't go back till November for his 1 yr check up- I still can't believe that :(

We also left Thursday for our first (mini) family vacation. We went down to Wildwood, NJ for 3 nights/4 days. Of course, like the last time we went to the shore it rained, but honestly we were very lucky. The forecast was very bleak on Thursday, but it turned out to be pretty good. It was gorgeous on Thursday and we took Aiden up on the boardwalk just to see all the lights and watch his reactions- those big blue eyes were just open wide taking in everything. Then Friday, which was the worse day of the trip, it rained a lot, but we did have a few hours of no rain and we rode over to Cape May and walked around for a while.

Saturday we took Aiden to the beach and he loved it. He got his hands and feet right in the sand and started playing (Now you know this is love because Keith nor I are big sand people). We then took him into the ocean and he just smiled and talked the whole time. In fact, when the waves retreated he wanted to walk further into the water. He wouldn't even look at the camera because he just wanted to be in the water. We then took him back to the pool and again love it. We were having him "swim" and jump up and down in the water. He didn't want to get out, but we had to drag him out because the pool kid was shivering and sooo cold. Then that night we took him back up to the boardwalk and put him on the Merry Go Round (the only ride he could be one). He kept giggling the whole time. Needless to say, he got a good nap and night's rest that day. Sunday we did a quick tour of Wildwood (stopping by the places Daddy use to hang at) and then headed home. Even though the weather wasn't the best, it was great time together as a family and wonderful memories!

Happy 4th of July!

We took Aiden to his first parade today. We met up with his cousins- Natalie & Marc, Uncle Marc & Aunt June, Nonni, Poppi, and Keith's cousin's family- Kyle, Kim, Josh & Noah, to see the Marple Newtown parade.

Aiden preferred to watch the traffic across the street then focus on the parade. He did like the bands/music and watching all the kids run to get candy. I can see he just wanted to run with them. He did very well and wasn't scared, even when the fire trucks came blaring by. We did decide to forego the fireworks this year.

We want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy, and safe 4th!

Aiden newest way of communicating...crazy kid

Happy "Dada Day" and 1st time at the shore

Keith just celebrated his first father's day and it was a nice time. We were all down the shore for the weekend. We stayed at the Villas, which is basically Wildwood's bay with Keith's close friend George, who is like a brother to us. Although the weather showed more rain then sun, we all had a good time.

Aiden slept in our room for the first time since he was 5 weeks old and it went well. We were surprised how well he did, as he slept in a pack n play (which he hasn't done in about 3-4 months) and was happy all weekend long. He was just awesome and we couldn't ask for anything more.

Unfortunately, Aiden didn't really see much of the beach and didn't get to the boardwalk. We did take him to the bay and he was loving the ocean, talking and all. Here are some pics.

We hope everyone had a great "Dada" day!
